My dog has diarrhea, he is vomiting, and has a runny nose?

He is a 9 year old Jack Russell, he is very overweight (thyroid problem), and so far this morning he has puked about 10 times and had diarrhea 2 (maybe 3, he puked when he went outside like 5 minutes ago, I didn’t see if he had to go to the bathroom too) times. My mom is suggesting we keep an eye on him and make sure he drinks plenty of clean ice water. He hasn’t eaten anything today so I’m sure he’s dry heaving now.
I know what distemper is, but my parents don’t think he has that. Parents also said if this goes on a while longer they will take him to the vet.
He just puked and had diarrhea again. Parents are refusing to take him to the vet right now, saying “He just need to get whatever it is in his system out.”
I’m a 14 year old girl.. I can’t persuade my parents to take him to the vet because they won’t listen to me.

Did the vomiting start first? Also does his poop smell foul and does it have yellowish to it or blood? Is he up to date on all his shots? It could be Parvovirus but it could also be something he ate. New food can sometimes mess with their digestive tract. But he could of eaten something poisonous as well. It’s better to be safe then sorry and take him out to the vet as soon as possible. Hopefully your parents will come to their senses and bring him in.

Also distemper doesn’t cause vomiting or diarrhea. Distemper causes fluid in the lungs leading to pneumonia.
