can my cats give my dog there upper respiratory infection?

I just brought home two new kitty’s from the shelter and they both have an URI I am treating them to antibiotics however I want to start introducing them to there new family, i.e. our other cats and dog. I know they can get the cats sick but what about the dog?

I just researched and its unlikely your dog can get it but it is possible. If the cat sneezes or coughs on your dog, your dog can get it too. I would keep the dog apart while you are treating the URI. My kitty has URI too. Does your cat make loud purring noises but is not actually purring? That’s the only thing my kitty does during her URI. And it seems as though its not going away.
